Or slug a fastball over the fence.
Edges smoothed, a round ball,
you can play America's favorite pastime.

Though, I always thought baseball was a bit boring.

Why is it that today, more people here
watch the superbowl
than any other event in the country?
Why is the traditional American sport
little more than an image,
while America's passion is the one with a ball
that bulges and peaks
and takes odd bounces?
A ball affectionately called "the old pig skin"?
